Virat Kohli is the highest paid cricketer in the IPL with Rs.17 crore, which is Rs.2 crore more than the amount set by BCCI. Afghanistan leg spinner Rashid Khan took 17 wickets in 11 matches which helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to reach playoff in 2017’s IPL. Rashid’s 9 Crores by SRH is the second highest for the bowler after KKR paid a whopping 9.4 crore for Mitchell Starc. The franchise kept raising the bids for the spinner before KXIP for Rs.9 crore however SRH used the right to match option and retained his services.
An all-round cricketer hailing form South Africa was retained by his franchise Delhi Daredevils with Rs.12.5 million. Morris began his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings and was apart of Rajasthan Royals before joining Delhi Daredevils. The cricketer has been versatile in batting as well as bowling.
Glenn Maxwell who played for Punjab for four years will be playing for Delhi Daredevils this IPL. The franchised purchased Glenn for Rs.9 crore in the bid. Glen will be missing the first game as he is committed to Finch’s wedding.
